This year in Boston, it’s an epic battle: the pie versus the cupcake.

On one side -- pies: Petsi Pies, Cafeteria and Greenhills Irish Bakery. On the other side -- cupcakes: Monumental Cupcakes, Kickass Cupcakes and Sweet.
