While everything is fine and sunny down at Dewey Square today, the beginning of this weekend was hellish, as rain, sleet, snow, and even hail howled down on tent city. As happens every time the weather fouls up in these parts, new challenges arose and tempers got tested.

Attention all Boston coeds: we'd like to issue an official statement. Squeezing into a 10-year-old's party skirt, teetering around on six-inch heels, and slapping some sort of animal headgear on your dome does not qualify as a costume. Maybe a particuarly festive streetwalker.

There's not yet been enough time to process everything that happened at last night's Occupy Boston General Assembly. At least not in a journalistically responsible way. So for now, until the callbacks come in and I look into this further, I'll just report my own observations from the ground. In the least I might be able to clarify some rumors that are popping up online and outside of camp.

We all know how fun the everyday goings-on around the Occupy Boston camp already are. If you can't enjoy yourself at Yoga, Faith and Spirituality Group, or Occupoetry, then you're probably a stiff one-percenter who feeds poor immigrants to his family out in Wellesley. And those General Assemblies – who couldn't have a blast at those?

Our sister paper, the PORTLAND PHOENIX, has been covering #OccupyMaine. This morning they published news of a Sunday morning attack on the #Occupy camp at Lincoln Park -- no one was injured, but an IED was lobbed into the camp, and Portland police are reportedly searching for a silver four-door sedan thought to have been used in the attack.

If getting chased through the backwoods of New Hampshire by a guy (ostensibly in character) with a (chain-less, but STILL) chain saw sounds like your idea of a good time, then Spookyworld -- and the many other scary-ass, blood-spattered haunted houses, museums, and landmarks we've rounded up here -- is for you.

I'm not quite sure what possessed me last night in Dudley Square, but I produced something like 100 tweets over the three hours I spent covering Occupy the Hood. The energy was downright intoxicating, as hundreds of occupiers from Dewey Square – who marched nearly three miles to get there – turned up right at six o'clock.

Sick of spending Halloween in a smelly (what is that? Is that cheese? I think it might be cheese) Allston basement fighting through hordes of drunken hipsters in un-ironically ironic (ironically un-ironic?) costumes to get to the keg before the Natty Ice runs out? Fear not, we've rounded up all the 21+ events at which you can guzzle all the pumpkin beer you desire.

It's no secret that there's been some turbulence at Occupy Boston. As the Herald dutifully reported (to the delight of many of their readers, I might add), and as anyone who's walked down Atlantic Avenue has likely noticed, there's a bit of a vagrancy problem in Dewey Square. The scenario is more complicated than many have surmised – while some homeless occupiers have indeed been using hard drugs and urinating openly, a great deal of those who otherwise bounce between shelters have taken on responsibilities and made a proud home of the camp.

This just in: according to real estate website Zillow, Boston ranks 2nd on their list of the Top 20 Best Cities to Trick-Or-Treat, falling just below San Francisco and just above Honolulu (New York didn't even make the list.) And while that's great news for all the kiddies in town looking to stockpile Snickers this year, we're hoping Zillow's Trick-Or-Treat index also applies to adult Halloween extracurriculars.
