Three weeks of rain would give anyone the honky-tonk blues. Two big country shows come around these parts, carving a giant fork in the road. Take one path (to the Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford, NH, 603.293.4700) and you can see WILLIE NELSON for $34-$48. The other brings you to Mayo Street Arts for “Country Night,” where you can see local yokels THE LOOMIN’ TEN (Aleric Nez’s new trio), BLACK HAT WHITE HAT (Tim from Over a Cardboard Sea’s new guise), the illustrious KELLY NESBITT (with JACK MARRIE), and DANK ROADIE UBERDRIVE for $6. The latter is hosted by Mezcalito guitarist Tom Whitehead; the former is hosted by a handful of aggressive corporate sponsors. Choose wisely.
