MP3 of the Week: Herra Terra "Lost In Labyrinth"

When HERRA TERRA were nominated for a Boston Music Award last year, they were cast in the Metal/Hardcore category. But the Worcester quartet carry more of a mind for the dance floor than the mosh pit. Quiet Geist — their 2010 release on Athens, Georgia, label the Mylene Sheath, home to Boston acts Caspian, Eksi Ekso, and Junius — was a blitzkrieg of modern beats and glossy, ultra-produced electronic rock wizardry. “Lost in Labyrinth” takes the fever pitch and reduces it to a slow burn, an almost avant-garde turn of sharply crafted synth-rock. Before the band hit Austin for a string of shows at SXSW, catch them within city limits here in Boston at Church this Saturday, March 12, alongside Keep Me Conscious, Goddess of My Religion, and Halfway to Avalon. In the meantime, grab the “Lost in Labyrinth” MP3 below.
