Shakedown: The last dance stretch of Boston’s sweaty summer 2010

THURSDAY 08.26: MAKE IT NEW WITH DJ BLOODY MARY @ Middlesex Lounge

Berlin-based techno diva Bloody Mary claims that her album Black Pearlwas inspired by Charles Baudelaire. Whether that's like an indie band citing Oscar Wilde as an influence remains to be seen, but either way, this self-professed decadence seems suited for the fleurs du mal of Make It New’s dance floor.

THURSDAY 08.26: DECADE @ ZuZu

The recent demise of Allston’s long-running ‘80s party Love Night has allowed DJ Paul Foley to bounce around town a bit more, and now Revere’s finest mixmaster has taken over the last Thursday of the month at ZuZu. Expect Foley’s trademark all-vinyl party featuring the funkiest ‘80s without re-edits or mash-ups. Fake moustache recommended.

THURSDAY 08.26: VITAL @ Milky Way

A party called Vital guarantees you’ll hear shit you want to dance to, and this new joint for the JP masses features two DJs who are no strangers to sweaty dance floors. Justin Credible (Work!, Rouguewaves) and Nathanael Allen Bluhm (Foxy!, Mystery Roar) team up to spin the glitter-drunk hits, from Glass Candy to Corona.

FRIDAY 08.27: MILK & HONEY @ Good Life

Four to the Floor and Paper Panda return with another ground-level installment of Milk & Honey at Good Life, all while pirate-themed mash-up party Bootie Boston goes on in the club’s basement. Not saying you’ll tire of DJ Leah V’s upstairs mix of old-school hip-hop and new wave, but pirate alternatives are always a plus.

SATURDAY 08.28: "RAD" RAVER APPRECIATION PARTY @ Webster Fish & Game

Yeah sure, this one is a bit out of Green Cab’s jurisdiction, but after last weekend’s Wrecking Ball in Connecticut got nixed last minute by the fuzz, you figure the ravers in the area are chomping at their glowsticks to get dancing. DJ Venom, ODI, and Dupont & P-Kat lead the beat charge; you supply the Ring Pops.

91 Gore Road, Webster | 2 pm-1 am | 18+ | Free | 508.943.9806 or search RAD on Facebook
