A brief discussion of that Beach House video on Pitchfork today

So, okay. BEACH HOUSE, who, to be clear, we love, are apparently doing a weeklong "special presentation" for the Fork, purportedly from their practice space in Baltimore. It's a fine video - the set design is kind of neat, and they sound good - but it's not really anything super-special. Until you get to the end when Victoria Legrand does a stone-face karate kick and then stands up really casually. I'm not sure why this is so awesome, but it just is. It's at around 4:03 on the video.
