For Duncanson, this was more an issue of "so what?" than anything else. Although Radio Dept. might be the ultimate faceless boyfriend to twentysomething spinsters everywhere (and who wouldn't make that mistake after falling into the pink-cloud softness of 2006's "I Wanted You To Feel the Same"?), they have always found plenty to have an attitude about — from the bullying rockism that pervaded the '80s to the retro-trappings of the '90s that they tried so hard to avoid. Even now, Duncanson laments the music world's lack of mystery these days. "Everyone has their Facebook and Myspace, and you can see clips of any band on YouTube. A lot of the secrecy and excitement gets lost. You don't have to long for anything, really, because it's right there on your computer."
