Weed Inc., a power pop trio established in 1998, has an addictive sound all their own. "They pull from a variety of non-contemporary influences (The Who, The Mats, Elvis Costello and The Kinks, to name a few) to generate one of the best efforts from a New England based band since the glory days of Buffalo Tom and Dino, Jr." writes Martin England of Showcase Magazine. Weed Inc. is genuine, and remains true to their master: The Song. The band is a creative force with a talent for capturing their raw, energetic live musical performance from the stage and recording it in the studio, making their music impossible to remove from the CD player.
2001 brings the release of Weed Inc.'s second album, Sweet Delicious, and it is just as the title suggests. "Sweet Delicious is nothing short of pop genius, with tightly coiled arrangements, straight razor harmonies, and hooks you could hang your summer dress on," writes Showcase Magazine. Recorded with Capitol recording artist Andy Happel at Dizzyland in NH and Boston Music Award-winning producer David Minehan at Wooly Mammoth in Boston, Sweet Delicious was released in June by RockMePopMe Music.
