MORE ABOUT JAYE DREW

Jaye Drew started out at the age of six, writing songs in her head and memorizing the melodies. At fourteen she picked up a guitar and began playing coffee shops and experimenting with recording.
At 16 she hit downtown Portland and surrounding areas with solo shows and a regular opening spot with 'Lisa Gallant Seal and The Brotherhood Dogs'.
Jaye worked closely with local musician Herb Clark for several years in a folk based project that came to be known as 'Governor Vessel'.
After seven years with the project Jaye let it go to pursue a new sound that had been haunting her for years. She found a home for that vision in her current project 'Jaye Drew and A Moving Train'.
Currently in The Studio recording a full-length album, 'The Train' has arrived in Portland, Maine. The group has established a sound pulling from funk/rhythm and blues/jazz and fusion with hip-hop undertones.
