Ex-punk rocker and single mother of two, Emily Grogan spins out soul-bearing narratives of her personal journey through loss, growth, and redemption. She mixes the emotional intensity of PJ HARVEY with the semi confessional song-stories of TORI AMOS and the edgy pop sensibility of KT TUNSTALL.
Emily is a young veteran who obviously knows what she wants and proves she knows how to get it. She earned nominations for the 2005 Boston Music Awards for best local female vocalist and the 2006 Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll as best Singer/Songwriter for her debut CD, Io. Grogan also plays in two other bands called Angeline and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Her newest CD At Sea was released 3.3.07 and is getting airplay on over 100 radio stations!
