MORE ABOUT LOCK AND KEY
four years Boston’s Lock and Key have written, recorded, and released one full length (Pull Up the Floorboards) and one EP (No Fate) on Charlotte’s indie, Deep Elm Records. To support these releases Lock and Key have completed two national tours, countless East coast tours, and an impressive list of Boston area shows.
Armed with a new bass player, a new attitude, and thirteen new songs Lock and Key is ready to get into the studio to record their best material to date. Songwriting has never been more of a concentrated group effort and Lock and Key are proud to show that their new material yields much stronger results. Always catchy, driving, and full of energy their newest collection of songs provides a cohesiveness never fully realized in their previous work. Still searching for honesty and compassion the lyrics are never too complex to be discreet.
Please listen to these new songs as a representation of the revamped Lock and Key. Just like their previous releases the band has proudly recorded with Ethan Dussault and mastered with Nick Zampiello at the much heralded New Alliance studios in Boston, MA. Lock and Key is eager to hit the road hard again, to continue to make new friends along the way, and to carry the torch of the countless bands that paved the way for independent music before them.
