MORE ABOUT THE HIGHWAY
The history of the Highway begins on the sandy beaches of Caracas, Venezuela where Daniel Tortoledo (bass/vocals), Luis Miguel Peroza (guitar/vocals) and Hernando Buitrago (guitar) got together to write Rock music in 1999. They played around the city mixing covers of Oasis, The Beatles, The Doors with original tunes. In 2001 they entered and won the Interschools New Band competition which open the doors of the media in the tropical city. On their path towards wisdom the three Venezuelans found themselves on a one-way flight to Boston, MA where upon arrival they met with drummer Ted MacInnes from Redding, CT. Since that moment in 2003 the band has stayed united and active writing the tunes that in 2006 will conform its newly released, self-titled album. Apart from recording, The Highway keeps itself busy playing around the Boston area and have recently started to spread their Rock & Roll vibe to other states.
