MORE ABOUT ONEBIGMESS

For seven years now, rock band Onebigmess has been making quite a name for themselves in the local Boston music scene. Starting in 1999, they have spent the last seven years developing their songwriting skills, playing as many live shows as they can, and developing their ever-growing fan base.
Created of equal parts anger, frustration, and beauty, the music of Onebigmess skillfully blends the explosive rhythms, poignant lyrics, and moody backbeats that make for a truly unique sound. The band has a wide range of music styles, from balls-to-the-wall rock, to soft verse/heavy chorus bash and pop, to barroom blues rock, epic sagas, and emotional slow grooving songs, Onebigmess truly has something for everybody.
Accomplishments along the way include competing in the first two Beantown Meltdown competitions, and while they haven’t won (yet), they made it into the semi-finals the first year, and the finals in the last year. They have played with many of Boston’s best local bands, and have been developing a rabid fan base through their explosive live shows across New England.
The excitement and explosiveness of a Mess show is what defines the sound and style of the band. The onstage antics of the band mirror the intensity of their music. Onebigmess has played at many of the major venues in Boston, as well as throughout New England. They have played Battles, Festivals, Rallies, and Fund Raisers. They have played to rooms of 2 people as well as to rooms of 600 people. They are comfortable with their audience, and are a very professional band that uses every opportunity to push and promote their shows, as well as their music.
The songs available for download on this site are from the forth-coming EP titled "The Mess'd Up EP", which will be available in January 2007. For more information, please visit their official website at www.onebigmess.com
