MORE ABOUT RECORE
Recore started in the winter months of 2001 as a four piece band. After a little lineup shuffling the current crew of Jake, Jon and Roy was set just in time for the band to record a 5 song demo at Newcastle sound in July of 2001. After that came the bands Full length debut "In the Bridge" a couple of years later. Since then the band has been carefully working on another EP that will showcase some of their musical flexibility that will be out in the spring of '06. The band members are influenced by a wide spectrum of alt rock/ punk/ rock acts including Our lady Peace, Blink 182, Tool, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins and many more. This variety of influences is evident in the songs Recore has created, which range from the energetic punk-based Stuck in a Change to the darker, more rolling and emo-like release Black Angels Fly. The trio thrives in the local RI scene both as avid fans and as a unique addition to Providence's repertoire of awesome bands to go check out. Ever-improving and evolving it is impossible to peg this band as a one-trick-pony.
