MORE ABOUT REV. BOB AND THE DARKNESS
With influences ranging from The Police to Otis Redding and Johnny Cash, Reverend Bob & The Darkness have always kept a vast musical palette. Not exactly something that happened overnight, Reverend Bob and Darkmark began working on songs together more than a decade ago. Quickly they realized these songs didn't fit into the repertoire of any of the other working bands that both were in at the time. As a result Reverend Bob & The Darkness became a "side project" early on. The band slowly took on a life of its own and since it's initial launch has undergone several line up changes/styles, which have included at one point or another a female singer, strings, and world percussion. Partially through default, and partially through common influences Reverend Bob & The Darkness are now a stripped down, boozy mix of "Roots, Rhythm & Gothic Blues".
