Haystak Kalhoon is a bold force in this world -- it is not another Generation X whining festival; it is a call for a revolution. Their lean three-piece sound has all the immediacy of punk rock, but played with a twisted street proficiency all their own. The songs manage to frighten and amuse at the same time, warning the uninitiated of voices in ovens, rampaging baboons, boilerroom castrations, IRS horror tactics, and, above all, the persistent efforts of the Man to drive us all into blind conformity.
