MORE ABOUT RADAR EYES

Hail, hail rock and roll. Deliver me from the days of old. The beat of the drums, loud and bold--the feeling is there, body and soul.

That's not a Radar Eyes song, but it should be their anthem. Bringing thunder down from above, Boston's Radar Eyes creates a sonic wall of very very heavy rock. This is not a sound for the faint of heart, yet it is a sound that is accessible to fans of primal rock and roll.

Radar Eyes layers noisy guitar hooks over steady, driving rhythm. Unusual time changes redolent of Led Zeppelin, guitar licks in love with Neil Young, and dirty lyrics delivered convincingly by the bass player, all come together to create such relentless goddam rock, you're amazed at its catchiness--its ability to make you move and shake. If Blue Cheer moved down your street, screwed your babysitter, and invited the MC5 over to play house, somewhere in that profane mess Radar Eyes would be born.

Radar Eyes is a Boston-based trio, and has shared the stage with the likes of Royal Trux, J. Mascis, Cheetah Chrome, Cobra Verde, the Apes, and Nashville Pussy. They have recently self-released a 5-song EP, raw and homegrown on 4 track and fine-tuned to splendid Soni-luxe perfection by Marc Schleicher at New Alliance Studios. Dig.

A dirtbag garage band with bugs in their teeth, soul in their snarl, and a guitar attack that's both savage and surreal, RADAR EYES are so explosive that Mitt Romney just raised the threat level again. Their debut five-song
EP - self-released, hand-silkscreened, - isn't gonna stay on shelves long...
