God Fearing Man consists of Pongo (guitars, vocals, keyboards), Paul Gates (guitar, vocals) Marc Sherman (drums, vocals), and Rob Nemetz (bass, vocals). The band has scored numerous achievements, including the success of their debut 1996 CD release of So The World Isn't Flat. God Fearing Man has hosted the 'Cheap Seats" program on Cape Cod's ROCK 107.3 numerous times with interviews and airplay on ROCK 104.7, PIXY 103 and WAAF 107.3. God Fearing Man has been playing all over Boston, Providence and surrounding areas.
God Fearing Man is simply described as "catchy, up-tempo, melodic, harmony driven, guitar pop/rock. God Fearing Man delivered reasonably aggressive, distorted guitar rock. They'd be at the heavy end of R.E.M. fans' 'like list,'" says Geoff Wilbur at Renegade Magazine. The uniqueness of this band, however, lies in the ability of all members to lead sing and harmonize in the tradition of the Beatles or the Eagles.
