Up The Empire was formed in the summer of 2004 in Brooklyn, NY. The group’s four members—Ben Lord, Chris Renn, Dan Hewins and Doug Keith—create stick-in-your head dynamic noise-rock tunes, alternating in tone from intense and moody to airy and upbeat. Their sound is driven by a blisteringly tight rhythm section with playful guitar melodies and lyrics that aren’t afraid to let it all hang out. For the past year, Up The Empire has been building a name and reputation across the East Coast for their energetic, sweat drenched shows and their expectation shattering, catchy songs.
