For a lacquered accent wall, Amin-Dufton recommends Benjamin Moore's Amazon Moss #2037-10 in a full gloss. Or paint just the ceiling, which makes crown molding stand out.
Amin-Dufton suggests accompanying emerald with gilver (an antiqued gold-and-silver blend). "Gold can read too collegiate and dated, but burnished metallic looks contemporary and modern," she says. "Camel color also works with bright green to temper its brilliance."
