It’s pig-out time at Redbones (55 Chester Street, Somerville). On August 7, from 6 to 9 pm, the barbecue joint hosts its fifth annual Pig Pickin’ to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition. The event, which sets up outside the restaurant, features slow-smoked pork, corn on the cob, coleslaw, corn bread, watermelon, and more, along with entertainment from the 2nd Line Social Aid & Pleasure Society Brass Band. The cost is $20, and reservations are suggested; call 617.628.2200.
