Mansbach is back

By JONATHAN DONALDSON  |  January 11, 2013

Do you worry about being a one-hit-wonder, or having your hit be something that is so unrepresentative of what you usually do? I'm certainly not one to begrudge the success. The fact that anyone knows me for anything is a wonderful thing. Writers these days have such an uphill battle. It would be sort of an asshole move on my part for me to complain that I'm not known for this book or that book. I don't have a problem with it. Rage Is Back is my first major project since then [Go the Fuck to Sleep], and I notice I'm getting more literary attention. People are perking up their ears a little more and saying, "Hey the guy who wrote Go the Fuck to Sleep wrote a novel and it's actually not bad!"
