Boston Tattoo Convention
Boston Center for the Arts
If the gentleman to your right has an entirely green head
and a bifurcated tongue, pinch yourself. If he's still there, you're probably
awake and at the Boston Tattoo
Convention, the eighth annual celebration of body art and its canvases.
This is a long way from lower-back tribal stamps: the convention features live
tattooing and contests with more 100 artists plus freak shows, burlesque, exhibits,
seminars, and beer, providing Boston
one of its most colorful weekends. It's at the Boston Center
for the Arts, 539 Tremont St,
Boston | October 2: 2
pm-midnight; October 3: noon-midnight; October 4: noon-8 pm | $20-$25; weekend
pass $45-$50 | www.bostontattooconvention.com
