“Sneaker Pimps” 2009 feat. Clipse + J. Cole

Back in June, 500 sneaker zealots camped out in Harvard Square for five
days to get their hands on a pair of Nike’s Blue Lobster SB Dunks. Even
rarer are the kicks at “Sneaker Pimps,” which is billed as “the
world’s largest touring hip-hop sneaker exhibition,” but you can skip
the multi-day queuing and go straight to immediate gratification by
catching this 1500-pair traveling show at the HoB, with its mix of
vintage, art-tweaked, and celebrity-tagged specimens. To sweeten the
deal, graffiti crew Project SF will whip up a live art installation
while rappers Clipse, J. Cole, and others will be throwing threes and
