You may have first heard about Donald Glover during the #donald4spiderman Twitter campaign last May. Even Stan Lee liked the idea of Spidey being played by a black kid in the new film reboot, and although Glover wasn't offered an audition (lame), the campaign spread his name across geek circles. But Glover had already been building a career: he started as a YouTube sensation, wrote for 30 Rock, recorded mash-ups of obscure indie bands with his own nerd-rap lyrics, and now stars as Troy on Community. Oh, and did we mention his stand-up is hilarious, too? He performs as part of the Magners Comedy Festival at the Wilbur Theatre.
