Akron/Family are a heady band. But not because their music lends itself to impromptu drum circles. Rather, it exists on a more cerebral level, inspiring some serious psychedelic reflection. Their latest full-length is said to have been recorded on the side of an active volcano in Japan. If you’re in a band and that doesn’t make you reconsider your dedication to this whole music thing, then we don’t know what to tell you.
