"20UNDER40 Party in the Future"
Arts and arts-education project 20UNDER40 is launching its anthology 20UNDER40: Re-Inventing the Arts and Arts Education for the 21st Century, with 20 essays by writers under 40 (get it now?) on the future of the arts in a world of constantly evolving technologies. And it’s marking the occasion with a Kick-Off Colloquium and Party in the Future, where writers and scholars will get all intellectual discussing the future of creativity, teaching the arts, and fusing them with the sciences. But then they’ll let loose at an “artful extravaganza” in Harvard Square, with music by DJ Chris Parlato, Gloobic, Bridget Matros, and the teens in the Zumix Jazz Allstars. Events take place between noon and midnight at three venues: Zumix, 260 Sumner St, East Boston; Cloud Place, 647 Boylston St, Boston; and Oberon, 2 Arrow St, Cambridge. Free with RSVP.
