Seattle’s Minus the Bear are not easy to pin down. Are they math rock or experimental rock? Maybe post-prog? Or maybe you shouldn’t care — their ever-evolving, genre-defying songs with ridiculous names and music-nerd tendencies are good, and that’s all that matters. No wonder their fan base keeps growing. After a successful gig back in May, the band return — this time with Cursive’s Tim Kasher — to the Wilbur Theatre.
