N’awlins comes to Allston today for the Mardi Gras-themed Allston Village Street Fair. Local shops, vendors, artists, and craftspeople will hawk their various wares along Harvard Ave to the tunes of musical acts including the Shills, Black Fortress Of Opium, and Planetoid. Rock City should be swamped this afternoon, with three stages boasting more than 30 other acts including the Boston League Of Women Wrestlers, belly dancers, break dancers, and more. Did we mention this shit was free? Good news for all you struggling musicians/artists/vagrants who call Allston home sweet home.
