Narragansett Town Beach
The parking is tough, but the waves are worth it. With the gradual slope of the shore, Narragansett Town Beach boasts curls that roll in gently but firmly. You can be sipping a Del's one moment, and boogie boarding on a four-footer the next. It's also one of the Ocean State's most beatific spots; the southern coast — Westerly to Matunuck, say — has that quick drop-off and can be prone to red tide. So let's hear it for that sublime stretch of sand that reaches from the Pier to the Dunes Club. A little bit of heaven indeed.
