Dusk

You have to respect the approach co-owners Rick Sunderland and Pat Butler have taken since opening this hidden gem last August. Dusk is nothing like what we assumed — and that's our fault. The club could be like all those other places on Atwells Avenue, but instead we're treated to plenty of well-lit street and lot parking just around the corner (no valet needed here). The handsome brick interior and rumbling trains occasionally zipping by evoke the feel of a snazzy watering hole somewhere in Brooklyn. With guest DJs and live bands, it's an inviting oasis tucked away under Da Hill.
