CITY GIRL CUPCAKE
Less than a year ago, teenagers Catherine Corrente and Isabella Veader launched their idea for raising money and bringing smiles to those in need: CITY GIRL CUPCAKE. Inspired by their moms, grandmoms, and aunts, these two high-schoolers started a large-scale bake sale, with nut-free organic cupcakes, frosted in cheery colors and decorated with seasonal symbols. Net profits are donated to Feeding America’s Hungry Children, St. Mary’s Home for Children, and the Camp Street Ministries. Leftover cupcakes are delivered to the Ronald McDonald House, where families stay when their sick children are undergoing treatment at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Cupcakes can be ordered in advance for parties or large gatherings, and spring flavors include lemon, with lemon icing; lavender cake with lavender frosting; chocolate with cream cheese frosting; vanilla, coconut, or carrot cake, the latter with mandarin orange cream cheese frosting; plus their signature red velvet cupcake. And they’re available at Tony’s Colonial Market, 311 Atwells Avenue, Providence, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday | 401.580.1271 | www.citygirlcupcake.com
