SPRINGTIME FARMERS MARKET
What could be better than farm-fresh foods and homegrown music brought inside for the winter months? The Wintertime Farmers Market in Pawtucket has been such a roaring success that it’s spawned a SPRINGTIME FARMERS MARKET. More than 50 vendors bring their wares to the former mill building, with doors to studios and small businesses flung open between the tables piled with eggs, cider, homemade jams and sauces, honey, maple syrup, meats, cheeses, seafood, herbs, greens, over-wintered root veggies, homemade soaps and skin-care products, Rhody-bottled sparkling drinks, Rhody-roasted coffee beans, breads, pastries, and pies. It’s great fun to talk to the farmers, bakers, and other vendors, as you learn more about how their product is harvested or hand-crafted. There are samples to nibble, a toe-tapping acoustic band, friends to bump into, and plenty of edible treasures to carry home. The market is open Saturdays through May 29 from 11 am to 2 pm. | Hope Artiste Village, 1005 Main Street, Pawtucket | farmfresh.org/food/farmersmarkets
