Best Live Dive In The East Bay
THE COMMON PUB
The new and improved stage setup at THE COMMON PUB in Bristol has become a nice destination for local bands every Saturday night, including local punk acts like Mustache Ride and the multitude of indie-rock greats from the 75orLess camp (Coma Coma, the diePods, and the Jesse Minute). Oh, and there’s never a cover charge. Nice. UFO is usually available on tap, as well as low-priced domestic drafts (plastic cups are a necessity here), along with the $1 Jello shots and 3/$1 cherry bombs (the cute, take-no-guff bartenders can handle the show crowds and salty regulars). And after a long night of rocking out, hit the drive-thru at 24-7 coffee shop Sip ’n’ Dip around the corner for a cup of joe and straighten out. | 421-427 Wood Street, Bristol | 401.253.9801 | myspace.com/commonpub
