RIIFF ENCORE SCREENINGS
Don’t beat yourself up about it. You promised you wouldn’t miss the films in the 2009 Rhode Island International Film Festival last August, but you did. Not to worry. The RIIFF ENCORE SCREENINGS program is continuing on the fourth Wednesday of the month through June at the Bell Street Chapel. Next up on April 28 are two choice mini-docs. Shooting Beauty, directed by George Katchadorian, is a 63-minute story of an aspiring fashion photographer named Courtney Bent, who teaches photography to some new friends who happen to live in a center for the disabled. Little Miss Dewey, directed by Mira Tweti, takes 29 minutes to tell a duckumentary, an “inter-species love story” about an animal welfare journalist and Buddhist nun who adopts an or-phaned duckling. Shows are 7 pm and admission is $10. | 5 Bell Street, Providence | film-festival.org/BellStreetChapel.php
