Most local NY Systems (or "weiner joints") are mom-and-pop shops with a long lineage of slinging gaggers to hungry blue-collar folk and late night stragglers. TIMMY'S RESTAURANT in Conimicut is one such spot that doesn't adhere to the greasy spoon decor. It's a comfy diner with a hefty short-order griddle menu, along with at least two dozen homemade specials, from franks 'n' beans to liver 'n' onions. From the blueberry pancakes to tuna clubs, Timmy's still does it right.
