Hoparts Studio Trail
The southern Rhode Island countryside isn't just about autumn foliage, red barns, and hiking trails. Every October on the weekend after Columbus Day, visitors have the opportunity to walk the trail of some three dozen artists and artisans in Hopkinton and adjacent communities. This year the HOPARTS STUDIO TRAIL will be on October 17 and 18 from 10 am to 4 pm, rain or shine. You can watch Beth Drainville paint a landscape, Donna Bodell paint a portrait, or Dave Drown work on a computer graphic design. You might see potter Jay Lacouture fire up his kiln, former fisherman Joseph Beuth fashion a bentwood arbor, or Jon Campbell carve a piece of antler into a unique sculpture.
