You still don’t know how to nail a kickflip or grind a rail, and at this point you never will. But at least you can look good attempting it, and that’s half the battle. Flipside is a small, skater-owned shop along the Independence Trail in Bristol and has quickly become a hotspot for local skate rats, offering a wall of multi-flavored decks for sale and all the accessories to get rolling. Kicks and hoodies, trucks and stickers — Flipside has you covered. And be on the lookout for Friday movie nights at the shop (such as the Dogtown and Z Boys documentary), where the $5 admission includes a slice of pizza and a can of pop.
