Beer and tequila — together! The place for the one and only Beergarita can be found at CHILANGOS TAQUERIA, courtesy of resident mixlologist Omar, who came up with the idea two years ago, which has become a cult classic amongst the extensive list of signature drinks at our favorite Mexican hangout. The tamarind and guava margaritas are not to be missed, but the Beergarita is a simple and refreshing alternative to the sweet and fruity: combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and a dash of orange bitters, add half a bottle of your favorite cerveza (Pacifico, por favor), and enjoy. Old favorites such as the Salty Dog, the Cubana (beer, tomato juice, worcestershire, and clam juice), the Submarine, and the Michelada remain alongside Omar’s latest concoctions, like the sweet-as-candy Cham¬bordita and the grapefruit-infused “McLovin” margarita. And after much public clamoring, Chilangos has brought back the original menu classics for dinner. Tacos, tortas, and tostadas are perfect accompaniments to Omar’s patented Chelarita.
