Opening in 1976, the first Japanese steak house in the state is still very popular. Much of the reason is probably the entertainment value of sitting on the hibachi side of the restaurant. Cooks in white jackets and tall red toques are part chef, part samurai — Iron Chef meets Toshiro Mifune — as they shout, chop, and flip ingredients onto and off the grill. Say ahhh!
