Bar 101

"Keepin' it simple" is the motto for relative newcomer Bar 101, which is half-sports pub/half-martini lounge. Bruce Beaumier and friends have hit their stride offering "good drinks and delicious food that WON'T burn a hole in your pocket," with weekday half-off apps from 4 to 6 pm and an extensive list of reasonably-priced specialty martinis (most under $8), like the Almond Joy, Bomb Berry, and the dangerously-smooth Cashmere with Stoli Vanil vodka, pineapple juice, and a splash of Chambord. There are a dozen burger options (with fries, all under $10) and grilled pizzas to peruse, or add grilled chicken to the mountainous 101 Salad (mixed greens with gorgonzola, dried cranberries, and candied walnuts).
