The biggest Rhode Island rock 'n' roll happening of the year will be taking place at the Met in Pawtucket, on Sunday, March 25, starting at 2 pm. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Roomful of Blues, James Montgomery, Rizzz, Duke Robillard, and many more have signed on for this tribute to the late, great Thom Enright. And, yes, Jorge's Young Adults will be playing, most likely for the last time (though, like Michael Corleone in the final Godfather film, the Adults keep getting "pulled back in").

This is a fundraiser to deal with the crushing medical expenses that accrued during nearly four years of battling brain cancer. The suggested donation is $20 and we can guarantee that this will be one for the ages.

Send air conditioning and Pulitzer-grade tips to  p&j@phx.com.

Though he spent a stint as executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation under Governor Lincoln "Missing Linc" Almond, Marcel Valois — the newly named head ramrod of the beleaguered EDC — is hardly a household name in The Biggest Little. (Unless, of course, you live in a household with a lot of people named Marcel or Valois.)
