On SATURDAY (the 18th), happy third birthday wishes go out to the EXTRAORDINARY RENDITION BAND, set to head back down to Texas for the annual HONK! Festival; send 'em off in style at Roots Café (401.272.7422) with a slew of special guests, including KICKIN' BRASS and BIG NAZO. And at the Spot Underground, the dance floor will surely heat up courtesy of funk/soul/jam crews SAUCE and FUNKWAGON; $10 cover charge at the door, dial 401.383.7133. Ahead to TUESDAY (the 21st), catch the REVEREND BASTIEN along with TONY JONES & THE CRETIN 3 opening for CULVER ($8 at the door) at the Met; the Whiskey Republic continues its weekly Unplugged session (no cover, call 401.588.5158 for details); while OC45, SEVEN-YEAR PLAN, and THIS IS A MOVEMENT hit the Féte Lounge free-of-charge.
