SLAINE is aging well. That's not to call the Boston rapper old, but to recognize that, up until a couple of years ago, he wasn't much more than just that . . . a Boston rapper. Then he linked up with Ben Affleck, made a couple movies, released a brutally sardonic 2011 LP, and capped it all off last year with a rip-shit performance during which he pretended to shoot himself in the head onstage. So now we have a maniacal Boston rapper-slash-actor on our hands. That's a good thing.
