Ah, May. The temperature rises, the flowers bloom . . . and soft-shell-crab season reaches its peak. If the last is what makes you happiest, you’ll want to pay a visit (or several) to the Metropolitan Club (1210 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill), where executive chef Jeff Fournier is presenting “30 Ways in 30 Days,” a celebration of soft-shell crabs. Fournier has come up with 30 recipes — one per day — showcasing the odd crustacean. Offerings will include pan-seared soft-shell crab; soft-shell crab almondine; and soft-shell crab pizza.
