• Also dropping from MILLED PAVEMENT on December 22 is VIK44's My Way Out, a follow up to the gem-filled Was Never White.
• Geno's saw the birth of a new rootsy supergroup on the Friday after Thanksgiving: MEZCALITOS. The band feature TOM WHITEHEAD (Super Sized Chameleons, and many more), JOHN CLARKE (Bangor Symphony), fiddler MELISSA BRAGDON (Jerks of Grass), and fiddle maker JON COOPER of Acoustic Artisans.
• JAEGER WELLS has just finished up a new disc with ERIC BETTENCOURT. Called Transparent Things, it's due for release by late December.
• CIVIL DISTURBANCE have a new record ready for release as well, with a show December 12 at the Big Easy, with LOKI. The show will also feature the Portland debut (we think) of THOSE PEOPLE, a heavy cover band featuring former Civil D drummer NIKKO.
