Director David Dobkin’s tortured
Bad Santa
ripoff proves no gift to Vince Vaughn. He rants and pleads as yet another darty-eyed motormouth — this time, the black-sheep brother of St. Nick. Desperate for dough, Fred sleds off to the North Pole to toil for the fat guy (Paul Giamatti, thankful to hide behind a beard), just as a malevolent efficiency expert (Kevin Spacey) arrives. The friction between Vaughn’s coiled machismo and everyone else’s anal-retentiveness produces zero surprises. (Elfin upheaval! Snowy slapstick!) Moreover, the indulgently uneven tone neuters Vaughn, and he’s misplaced (and unfunny) boogeying with Santa’s helpers, spouting goop about self-esteem, and healing boyhood hurts. Dobkin even sucks the humor from the film’s lone absurdity: a cameo-studded 12-step meeting. As for infusing the ol’ ho-ho-ho, the most Christmasy moments for this reviewer arose whenever a nearby critic groaned, “Oh Christ!”

Bachelor party
It's easy to see how Wedding Crashers , the latest offering from the New Comedy Mafia, became the sixth-highest grossing film of 2005 (out-grossing The 40-Year Old Virgin by a cool hundred million dollars).
Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days and 30 Nights: Hollywood to the Heartland
The film of Vince Vaughn’s September 2005 jaunt through the West, South, and Midwest has a dubious goal: to be a stand-up movie with heart.
The Break-up
Those of us accustomed to Boston-scale apartments will at once appreciate what The Break-Up has to offer: the condo.

Four Christmases
Rather than the typical snowstorm that strands characters in a Holiday-themed comedy, it's heavy cloud cover that keeps San Francisco couple Brad and Kate from catching their flight to Fiji.
Review: Couples Retreat
This movie has the power to make any date feel as endless and soul-sucking as the lifetime’s worth of defective, hateful marriages that doom the film’s protagonists.
The ultimate BROADCAST JOURNALIST movies
Judging from the handful of movies made on the subject, filmmakers have little apparent use for the television business.
Dance, Monkey: Dan Hirshon
Marriages don’t always turn out the way you think they’re going to. Make sure you have a way out of it if things don’t go as planned.
27 Dresses
Well, I always cry at movies about weddings.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets
In this follow-up to the 2004’s National Treasure , renowned relic hunter Benjamin Gage finds his family line linked to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
