“From the bottom of the pool, fixed stars/Govern a life”
— “Words” by Sylvia Plath.

As January (and the moon) wanes, the forces exerted by Mars and Jupiter in opposition begin to ease — but not quite yet. Taurus and Scorpio are making big decisions, Leo and Aquarius are being forced into big decisions, and the waning dark of the moon and new moon are making everyone else feel like giving in and going home. (Except for Capricorn and Virgo, who are irresistible this month, no matter how much they pretend not to be!)
