Spindle City Americana Music Festival
Gram Parsons died in 1973, but the work he did as a member of the Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers, and particularly his two solo records (with vocal partner Emmylou Harris), still resonate and influence all strains of roots music. Today the Narrows Center For the Arts, 16 Anawan St, Fall River, MA, will present the Spindle City Americana Music Festival, with Ryan Fitzsimmons and Danielle Miraglia, Girls Guns and Glory, Sarah Borges, Bob Kendall Band, Mark Cutler & Friends, the ’Mericans, and Louie Leeman performing Gram’s songs (they’ll be recorded for an early ’13 CD release). The show starts at 4 pm | $15 advance, $17 day of show | 508.324.1926 | narrowscenter.org
