Chugging along, dropping hot lick after hot lick and then stringing those licks into a very tasty solo — that’s what Charlie Hunter does all night long. The eight-string guitarist keeps things funky, too. Whether he’s working jazzy hijinks or brainiac abstraction, he perpetually prioritizes groove.
